We South Africans earned R500 from Google Adsense last month

And the month before we earned about R250, so the speed of growth and improvement in income is looking promising!

NEWSFLASH! (July 2010). I have received my third Google Adsense cheque in the mail – here’s a photo of me holding it.

ANOTHER NEWSFLASH! (March 2011) I have received my 6th Google Adsense cheque in the mail, and am now also earning roughly R1 000 per month from Google Adsense. See the photo of me and my 6th Google Adsense cheque received in South Africa.

Also see our post on our TnT Blog We received our first ever Google adsense cheque (check?) in the post today! Where we discuss how it took about a year to earn our first R1000, but now it’s improving.

We’re very happy with having earned R500 in just one month from Google Adsense. Yes, there are a few South Africans (and people outside of South Africa too, obviously) earning much more from Google Adsense than a mere R500 per month, but we see now that our income from it is picking up, and that it is likely to do much better soon too, and continue to increase even further.

We’ve worked quite hard at adding content to our sites, and marketing our sites, so we’re glad it’s beginning to pay off, and so we will continue working hard on our sites and marketing them!

In between working as freelancers for a living, working from home, and generally just getting on with life as well, it’s not always easy to find the time to write plenty of articles or other written content for our sites, but we do write whenever we can.

Our point is: learn a little about adsense, ad the ads to your site or sites, and start earning a little extra income from home. It IS hard work at first, but it’s not difficult work – and being advised to try make a little income from Google Adsense may not seem like good advice when it’s coming from somebody who’s earned only R500 in one month from Adsense, but we can see it’s going to grow, because it has been, and the more one works with adsense, and spends time on the Internet in general, the more familiar one gets with everything on the Internet including information about website marketing, free advertising methods, SEO, making money online, and more!

There’s PLENTY of information all over the Internet – we are reading as much as we can, and will probably never feel we have read enough, but what we’re saying is: read read read learn learn learn earn earn earn- knowledge, and methods, tips and advice about earning money from home is all over the Internet. For free. Read. Learn. Earn.

Stop moaning about not being able to find work in South Africa, or a job in South Africa that suits you – if you have a computer, Internet connection, and the WILL to work hard, there’s work for you, and work for everyone else too – there’s enough work for all!

You MUST work hard though. Don’t mess around and expect the money to just pour in. Put in some effort. Good luck!

Yeah adsense is a great way to earn a little extra on the side, but if you have a bit of programming knowledge you can obviously list on freelancing sites and do freelance work part time or if you want to stick to earning through adsense, possibly doing some professional SEO on the site pity that in SA we dont have to much of an online freelance culture, Im trying to develop it
see my site http://www.outsourcedjobs.co.za let me know what you think is it a good idea?? It’s still early days.

Hi Dan, and thank you for your comment.

Thanks for the advice for us and our readers. Freelance work is always a great idea, and not that difficult to get into. So many people can do it – work online as freelancers. We do. We use oDesk.

We wanted to add your link to the bottom of your comment, and did as you can see, but weren’t sure if you had OutsourcedJobs on your site, or Outsourced Jobs. We went to the site to see, and our first impression was “Where is it?” (the name of the site.) We did eventually see it, small, in the logo top left. We realise it’s still early days, as you say, but our first suggestion would be to increase the size of the name of the site, or use just text for it, plain for all to see, as well as the logo, if you like.

Your site is a good idea – South Africans need more local sites for freelance work, to either offer their services, or to hire freelancers for their projects. Just market it as much as you can.

    Good luck with it!
