Selling salad rolls and other rolls at a fleamarket

Or, a fleamarket is not the only place you can sell salad rolls and other rolls from – sell them to shops, big or small – just open your mouth and ask shops if they’re interested, or ask if you can sell the rolls close to the shop (give them a small cut of your profits, or pay the small fee they might charge you) – or stick a homemade sign on your door or front gate, or put some rolls in a basket and go walking from office block to office block, or leave a menu at work places within walking distances from where you live, and take orders, or charge for delivery if you have to drive to deliver the rolls, and as this would most likely be for bigger companies who place bigger orders, you won’t mind driving to deliver the order – or, people can fetch the rolls from where you live and make them.

Hey, you don’t even have to know too much about cooking or baking; you don’t have to be a hot shot in the kitchen – it’s easy to cut and butter a roll, spread it or fill it with tasty contents, and wrap it in clingwrap!

Tips:

Do not make too many the first few times; get a feel for your market, and make more later, as the demand increases.

Make a few cute homemade menus, perhaps with photographs of some of the rolls – or get a website or blog and display them there.

Offer to supply your rolls (upon orders taken) for birthday parties, functions, and school sport days too.

Cut your rolls lengthways across the top – this keeps the fillings in nicely, without them oozing out the sides of rolls that are cut on the sides of the rolls.

Some filling ideas:

nothing or just butter or margarine – and add a lidded styrofoam cup of hot soup!
