I make money online from using just one article in different ways.
I do need to write a new article each time I do it, but I’m really pleased and excited about my strategy to write just one article, then earn from it in different ways.
This article describes what I’ve only recently started doing with my online articles, and I plan to continue doing it, and try to do it more frequently. If I do it more frequently, I know I will have a greater opportunity to earn more from it than I am now.
Disclaimer: It’s working for me, and this is my story and plan. I cannot say it will also work for you. I suspect it will, but I won’t and don’t guarantee it.
This is what I’m doing:
Write a brand new, fresh, original, unique article
Add that article to Factoidz OR Triond (NOT both). At the moment I’m using Factoidz a lot more than Triond.
30 days later (not before):
add that same article to Helium (if there’s a title on Helium for it, and to preferably be one of the first 5 writers to add an article to that existing Helium title – even better would be if I’m the first to add an article to an exisitng Helium title. I could also consider creating a new Helium title just for my article)
add the same article to Constant Content with USAGE RIGHTS ONLY
add the same article to one of my own sites or blogs
One article is now in 4 different places.
Then, on Xomba, I write a 50 word summary or description of the article, and include the link to any of the 4 places (well, I don’t link to Constant Content articles in bookmarks, so any of the other 3 places, then.)
Then, on Redgage, I add a “link” – a short one line description of the article and link to one of 3 places it appears (not Constant Content.)
These places above are 6 different places where I can earn money from just one article. Although it’s just 6 places, it also means I can earn money from just one article in different WAYS.
Factoidz: 2 different ways
Helium: 4 different ways
Constant Content: 1 way
My own site or blog: at least 3 different ways
Xomba: 1 way
RedGage: 2 ways
That’s a total of 13 ways to earn money from just one article
Why and how?
Factoidz: 2 different ways
Just for uploading the article, my activity earnings go up slightly;
My share of the ad revenue the site generates from pageviews of my article
Helium: 4 different ways
If I’m the first to add an article to a Helium title, I can get an empty title bonus (I must have at least one of five possible writers’ stars – quite easy to get after adding just 4 articles to the site, maintaining at least one rating star (also quite easy to get), and if my article has been rated in the top 25% of articles for a particular title – also quite easy to achieve especially if you’ve added your article to an empty title – there are thousands of empty titles to choose from;
If I’m one of the first 5 to add an article to a title;
My share of the ad revenue the site generates from pageviews of my article;
If somebody wants to buy my article (usage rights only.)
Constant Content: 1 way
Offer my article for sale, usage rights only
My own site or blog: at least 3 different ways
When Google Adsense ads on my page are clicked;
When somebody buys a product or uses a service at the other end of an affiliate banner or link;
Using the same page to also advertise a service I provide or a product I sell – perhaps an article writing service you can provide, or offer an editing service where you edit articles written by others, or describe and link to the articles you have for sale on Constant Content?
Xomba: 1 way
When Google Adsense ads on the same page as my bookmark are clicked;
RedGage: 2 ways
From pageviews of my link and short one line description;
If my item becomes a featured item (does not happen often.)
Near the start of this article, why do I say Factoidz OR Triond?
Neither site accepts previously published content.
Constant Content (if usage rights only are offered) and Helium do accept previously published content. This content must be your own, and have the same pen name on it – it is advisable to just use your real name. Of course you can decide for yourself about putting previously published content on your own site or blog, for example an article of yours that first appeared on Factoidz.
Do not make the mistake of first putting an article on Helium or your own site, and then also adding it to Factoidz. Factoidz (and Triond) do not accept previously published content.
Also, for example on Helium, do not add the same article to two different titles.
How ELSE can I earn money on Helium? – I can write original fresh articles for their Market Place, or enter some of their writing contests.
How ELSE can I earn money on Constant Content? – I can charge more for articles I write and have NOT previously published, or plan to publish anywhere else, if I offer full rights and don’t mind the buyers doing anything with the article that they want to. My name will not appear on the article wherever the buyer chooses to use it – his or her name might even appear instead – this is allowed if I offer full rights on my articles. Should the article not sell after a while, I can change it to usage rights only (can sell the article again and again) and drop the price, and also place it on my own site or Helium.
How ELSE can I earn money on RedGage? – I can upload snapshot photos (or more professional photos) and earn from views of them.
How ELSE can I earn money on my own site or blog? – I can link to my articles on Helium or Factoidz, hopefully generating more views of those articles there, and therefore more earnings.
If my site or blog is getting a lot of visitors, I can sell or rent advertising space.
Please understand that earnings from online article writing can be next to nothing, but if you have the time to write a lot, are patient and do not expect overnight wealth, and are the type of person who does not give up easily, you may very well earn a decent extra income from your online writing efforts – perhaps even a full time income – some people are.
Want to give it a bash?
Go through the rules and guidelines of any site you plan to join, THOROUGHLY.
Often a site may change it’s terms and conditions or rules or guidelines without notification – it is your duty to check through all pages of terms and conditions and policies and FAQ, and to continue checking back regularly.
Go through the other articles or sites I link to (in red) in this article, THOROUGHLY. On some of the articles I link to, there may be further red links to even more articles, which if you also read, will make everything easier to understand. TAKE YOUR TIME READING THROUGH EVERYTHING FIRST. DO NOT RUSH.
Then:
Join Xomba
Add three or four 150-word articles to Xomba
Get a Google Adsense account
Add an article to Triond OR Factoidz (not the same article to both as
both only accept first-time published works.)
Then, THIRTY DAYS LATER, take that same article and put it on Helium.
Same day that you put it on Helium, put it on Constant Content too, and also, if you have your own blog or website, add it there too.
Then,
bookmark one of those duplicate articles on Xomba (link to it with a 50
word description)
and also bookmark it on RedGage (link to it with a short one line description.)
You can also bookmark it on Facebook and StumbleUpon
Now that you’ve done it all with one article, write a new article and do it all over again. Obviously do not wait thirty days before writing a new article, but try write three or more in one day and add them to Factoidz or Triond, and then on the same day, duplicate the articles that you added to Factoidz or Triond thirty days earlier, and add them to Helium, Constant Content and your own site. Make sure you wite under the same name, and join sites under the same name – I think it’s best to simply just use your real name all the time. Having the same name on your duplicate articles helps prevent copyright problems. Make it clear that the same person (you) is the writer of all the articles.
Note: perhaps change the title somewhat each time you post it (or a
bookmark of it) somewhere.
A PayPal account is needed to receive earnings from some of the sites.
If South African you need to get a PayPal account and link it to an FNB cheque account. Learn how I opened a PayPal account, opened an FNB account, and linked PayPal to my FNB account.
Conclusion:
If you already have a computer and Internet connection, being able to earn from articles you write can cost you nothing to get started!
You can work from home – your own home based business that costs you nothing to start up!
Quality of writing?
Xomba, Triond and Helium are not too fussy.
Factoidz is quite fussy.
Constant Content is extremely strict!
Your own website or blog? Up to you!
You definitely want to include a website or blog as one of the places you can earn from your writing, so you’d like your own website or blog but don’t have the money to get one, or don’t know anything about if a website or a blog would be better for you – or are nervous to spend money on getting one when you’re not yet too sure how much time you can devote to your writing?
- Although I highly recommend a self-hosted website, or, even more than a self-hosted website, a self-hosted WordPress blog, you could still always start up with a free Blogger blog.
What should you write about? – things you already know is a good place to start.
When should I write?
NOW AND ALL THE TIME, AS OFTEN AS YOU CAN!
— end of article —
The above article is 1 693 words. Factoidz and Helium articles must be a minimum of 400 words – that’s roughly only one quarter the length of the above article. One quarter of the above article would be about 423 words.
I have not yet checked if Xomba allows previously published articles or allows the articles to again be published elsewhere, but they require articles of only 150 words in length. Bookmarks need to be at least 50 words.
HubPages is another online writing site. They do not accept peviously published articles and also frown upon any article on their site being published elsewhere later, but you can link to an article you have elsewhere, so why not write about one of your articles in a different way, on HubPages, and link to the original or expanded version. By “in a different way” I mean you could write about an article in a more informal way – write in first person and say why you wrote the article, or summarise the original article using different words or ideas, or put it in a list, or discuss which people would find that kind of article helpful, whatever! I did this on HubPages with this very article on this page that you’ve just finished reading.
