My September 2010 online earnings disclosed

About a month ago when I disclosed and went into detail about my August 2010 online earnings, I said I’d probably write about my September 2010 online earnings too, so here I am to do just that. Did I make more in September? Well, my August total was R580.21 (about $83), and my total for September is R616.56 (about $89) so I guess it may not seem like much more, but I see it as considerably more for September than August due to the fact that I was lucky in August to get a Fortitude referral which generated R86.43. If I don’t count referrals (since I don’t work too hard at trying to get referrals) then my August online earnings would have been R493.78, meaning my R616.56 for September was R122.78 … Read entire article »

Getting a website or blog: where do I start?

Should I get a website or a blog? What do I need to do? Basic costs for a website are the domain registration, the hosting, the design of the pages, and uploading it to the host server. It is possible to get your website designed by one person, hosted with another, and to get the domain registered through yet another, but it makes sense for just one person to handle all three areas. GET YOUR TEENAGERS THEIR VERY OWN 40-PAGE WEBSITE FOR CHRISTMAS – OR GIVE AS A BIRTHDAY GIFT TO ANYONE DURING ANY MONTH OF THE YEAR – OR GET ONE FOR YOURSELF! If finding that somebody offering all three services is rather expensive in one or more of the areas, then decide if you want to rather have different people … Read entire article »

Write ten short articles a day to earn over R10 000 per month in 3 years time

Okay this is based on the fact that I currently have about 300 web or blog pages and am earning about R300 per month from Google Adsense. I cannot guarantee that 10 articles a day will earn you over R10 000 per month in 3 years time, but, it doesn’t seem impossible either. If you’re keen to earn over R10 000 (that’s about $1 362) per month from home within the next three years, and are prepared to try write 10 articles a day, of say 300 words each, hear me out! It’s what I’m aiming at anyway. UPDATE! (27 Sept 2010) Rather make those 300 word articles 400 words and double your money (or get to R10 000 in a year and a half instead of … Read entire article »

Make money bookmarking web pages you did not even write

It can take up quite a lot of time writing articles and submitting or publishing them to ad revenue sharing sites in your efforts to earn some extra income online. Then, it doesn’t end there – to get a decent amount of traffic to your articles you have to be active in the community of the online writing sites you have joined, and use social bookmarking sites like twitter, facebook, stumbleupon, digg and reddit to get more people noticing your articles, visiting the articles, and hopefully clicking on the ads if there’s something in the ads that interests them. To get a decent amount of traffic, a writer may join quite a few social bookmarking sites and, once an article is published – whether it be on the writer’s own blog or … Read entire article »

Adsense Revenue Sharing sites: Xomba, HubPages, and Triond

Xomba, Hubpages, and Triond are just three of many Adsense Revenue sharing sites on the Internet. What is an Adsense Revenue Sharing site? An Adsense revenue sharing site is a site where you have articles you’ve written published, and the owners of the site share the revenue they earn from Google Adsense adverts (displayed within or next to your articles) with you. Often, these sites (and articles on them) receive quite a bit more traffic than most “stand alone” blogs. When thinking of earning some extra income from freelance writing, what is the main difference (in my opinion) between writing for an employer on a freelance site like oDesk and writing articles for your own blog or an ad revenue sharing site? Writing an article for a freelance site employer may sometimes pay you quite … Read entire article »

What’s nice about Triond?

Triond is an Adsense revenue sharing site, that also shares it’s revenue earned from other ads on the pages of a variety of niche sites displaying YOUR articles. What’s nice about Triond? (besides the above) There are at least 18 different sites that the Triond articles appear on, and these are mostly niche sites, giving your articles a greater chance at being found by people searching for those kind of topics on the Internet. One can write on just about any topic, and the articles are generally quite easily accepted first time round. All 7 of mine, so far, were. I submitted 7 articles to Triond in a period of three days – An 8th was not quite declined, but I was asked to do revisions. I was quite happy with the article … Read entire article »

How long before Google Adsense ads appear on Triond?

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE BEFORE YOUR APPROVED AND ACTIVE GOOGLE ADSENSE INTEGRATION INTO TRIOND ALLOWS YOUR ADSENSE ADS TO ACTUALLY APPEAR NEXT TO YOUR ARTICLES ON THE TRIOND SITES? I joined Triond 4 or 5 days ago, and am enjoying it at Triond. It is an advert revenue sharing site, like Xomba and HubPages, where revenue shared from ads clicked on next to articles you write is shared between Triond and you, the article writer. Triond is by no means a get rich overnight program, but more of a site where you can enjoy interacting with other people who enjoy writing, but at the same time you can earn a little from your efforts. You can visit Triond (or some of their niche sites – find the list on Triond) to … Read entire article »

Lemoen Konfyt (orange marmalade) resep

(The English recipe is below the Afrikaans recipe) Lemoen Konfyt resep Was die lemoene goed af en skil of rasper baie dun af. Maak nou … Read entire article »

Making paper gift bags to sell

What’s particularly great about possibly approaching shops with your homemade paper gift bags (for them to sell for you) is that there are LOADS of shops you can approach – just about any shop that sells items that could be thought as of gifts, and that are small enough to fit in one of your gift bags should be on your list of shops to approach. Of course one can also sell gift bags at a fleamarket, hire people to sell them for you (where they earn a commission), or start a blog or website where you display the gift bags (photographs of them) and take orders for packs of ten different ones, ten identical ones, whatever, so that people will always have gift bags at hand when they need one! … Read entire article »

Just how determined are you to make money online or from home?

The article that was written about us that appeared in the Go! local free weekly had quite a few errors (that probably only we were aware of) including the wrong link to our website address. Using totally free Blogger as a way to earn an income

I know I usually rant and rave about having your own domain name site or blog being seen as more professional, but if you don’t even have money for hosting or a domain registration, and at least have Internet access, then a totally free Blogger blog may be at least the start you need to start making an income online – whether this income be from a product you’re selling (that you promote with various articles on your free blogspot.com site), or from services you offer (that you write related articles about on your (Blogger) blogspot.com blog), or from using Amazon and Google Adsense ads on your blog. (Or even from promoting other affiliate products on the blog.) If you have access to the Internet, and want to start promoting what … Read entire article »

Make money from organizing activities at kiddies parties

Ok, this is not exactly “work at home” as organizing activities at kiddies parties generally means you go to the house the party is at. If you’re pretty good with kids, or have at least helped occupy your little brothers or sisters, or your nephews or nieces, or little second or third cousins, or your own kid’s friends when they visit your house, or even helped out at school athletics days, you can organize activities at kiddies parties. Before the first time you actually go to a kiddies’ party, get yourself a little organized and prepared. It will help to have some sort of theme in mind, that you will generally always stick to. Let’s use the idea of “a fun athletics day” for kiddies, for this example. Little kids love … Read entire article »
