Really truly honestly addicted to photography?

Like this guy, Heinrich van den Berg who wrote this wonderful article about his passion for a variety of different camera lenses? He also writes about that feeling many photographers know all too well – how one feels when one doesn’t have a camera at hand when “the perfect photograph” opportunity presents itself. I just finished reading the article a few minutes ago, and found it to be a delightful and informative read. I thought I was passionate about photography, but I see now that I’m nowhere near as passionate as Heinrich van den Berg is! I wish I was. I know I can be. I want to be. Don’t you? Isn’t his article inspirational? A few of Heinrich’s photos are displayed alongside the article … Read entire article »

Free stock photos for you now on our website too

We already have free photography ebooks and free advertising methods pages on our website, and even a free comfrey cream recipe, so have now decided to add FREE PHOTOS too, that anyone can take (copy and save) and use for private and limited commercial use. The collection of free pictures is still very tiny, but it will be growing whenever we get the chance here and there between working to add more images. We will have mostly photos displayed, but will also include some clip art and digital art. People can use the free pictures for adding to their own websites, or in websites they’ve designed, or for printing and using in children’s school projects, for cropping and editing and including in scrapbooking efforts – use the pictures for just about anything. … Read entire article »

What does our web address 1pic4twenty.co.za mean?

Go to our main website homepage here. (you can email us from that page too) 1pic4twenty was, at first, the name we gave our first idea of a business – which related to somebody sending a digital photograph to us, and us sending 20 of the same photograph back – but different, as in various different forms of the same photograph eg in black and white, sepia, with a “frame”, red-eye removed, or applying photoshop filters that would mean the photo would appear as an oil pastel, or watercolour, or have a posterised effect. Also cropping so that more than one photo could be made from the same image, altering the colour tone, and basically doing fun things with one image. These new photographs could then be emailed … Read entire article »

Why did iStock Photo reject these 3 images? Any advice please?

Why did iStock Photo reject these 3 images? Any advice please?

I registered at iStock Photo and uploaded 3 images that they rejected. They give the advice to read through the iStock Photo guidelines and requirements, which I did numerous times, and to submit another 3 images three days later. The three photos below are what I uploaded three days later, but they were rejected too. They do not tell me why exactly, but just suggest to again go through the guidelines before submitting another 3 … Read entire article »
