Our East London photography service photo shoot price up from R130 to R250

Please also see our Photo Info page on our main website, which details the East London photo shoot service procedure of ours a bit more. Although we are using only a small 5 meg camera at the moment, people have been happy enough with our photos for a while now, so it is more than about time we put our prices up! Here’s a quick summary of what you get for your R250: If you’re fairly central in East London, the R250 includes our transport to and from the venue you and we decide on; The shoot; the cd of images, and possibly the delivery of it too; a minimum of 40 usually slightly edited photos. That’s what you pay for, but sometimes we add a bit extra in too, for free, such as: All the original photographs … Read entire article »

Photos of my son Zooty

Photos of my son Zooty

Zooty enjoys drawing – see his anime sketches – and enjoys giving his mom a bit of a fright – he has stayed in hospital three times and says enjoys the food there! The first time was for one night only when he had an allergic reaction to who-knows-what and had a swollen face, experienced lethargy, and shallow breathing. The second time was for three nights to sort out a bout of dysentry that took three visits … Read entire article »

Mom and dad took me to the beach for the first time today

Mom and dad took me to the beach for the first time today

Hi there! I’m Gilly the jack russell, and today my mom and dad, Terry and Tony, took me to a place they call the beach.  At times they were calling it Sunrise on Sea, so I’m not sure if it’s the beach or Sunrise on Sea. EEEwww!  That water is cold and the sand is so wet!  Are jack russells really supposed to enjoy this? I lifted my paws quite daintily and tried to smile for mom … Read entire article »

Have You Ever Thought of Lying Down to Take Photographs?

If you’re careful not to let that long blade of grass tickle your nose, and don’t choose windy days to lie on the beach propped on your elbows with your camera at the ready, lying down to take photos presents a whole new world of creative photo opportunities. Getting down really low, by lying down close to what you want to take a picture of, has many advantages: Many people can’t afford an expensive camera or a tripod, but are still interested in being creative with a camera – but, of course, even those photographers with expensive cameras can always try and be more creative by trying the same tips here, if they haven’t already!   Lying down, flat on your stomach, propped up on your elbows, eliminates using a tripod to keep your … Read entire article »

Why did iStock Photo reject these 3 images? Any advice please?

Why did iStock Photo reject these 3 images? Any advice please?

I registered at iStock Photo and uploaded 3 images that they rejected. They give the advice to read through the iStock Photo guidelines and requirements, which I did numerous times, and to submit another 3 images three days later. The three photos below are what I uploaded three days later, but they were rejected too. They do not tell me why exactly, but just suggest to again go through the guidelines before submitting another 3 … Read entire article »
