Tips for presenting a school poster project that displays good layout
Tips for presenting a school poster project that displays good layout You’ve done all the research, have chosen which pictures you’re going to draw, cut out or colour in, and now have to do the writing or typing, and get ready to paste everything on your poster for display. Be sure to first assess what size the poster is that you’re going to display the pictures and information on. An A3 size poster is not that large, so be careful not to prepare pictures that are too large, which would leave very little space over for writing. Don’t forget to leave space for the heading, bibliography, and your name and grade too. Use an A4 sheet of paper to roughly plan the layout. Sketch squares or rectangles representing the different sections of the poster … Read entire article »

How long do we take to design your website?
Of the 20 websites we have designed since February 2008 to now (July 2009) , only two of them took as little as 9 days from beginning to end – beginning being first consultation with the web design client, and end being uploaded and available for viewing by the world. There are only two of us, myself, owner of the web design, photography, and writing business, in East London, South Africa, and Tony who helps me. All the websites we have designed for other clients have taken longer than 9 days, some as long as 5 to 6 weeks. This is not usually our fault, and we find that clients don’t mind if it takes a bit long to finish a design, when they understand we get to certain points in the … Read entire article »

Instead, we went with the flow, and developed a nice little routine, that we usually follow, when getting a new web design client. See out current routine here: Rough Idea of the Email Info we Send “We utilize six stages in our website design process. Stage 1: First Consultation. Following our initial discussion regarding your web requirements, be it personal, by e-mail or telephone, we prepare a free proposal document detailing your requirements, and our proposal. At this stage we also present any additional ideas and advice, together with the costs, … Read entire article »
