You want or need to work from home, but what is it that you want to do?

I seriously doubt that there is any housewife out there who is content to only be a housewife.

All people have their own special needs, desires, and talents. Even those moms who are married to good providers have a desire to do something other than cooking, cleaning and laundry. My message here is that unless we are brain-dead, we will always want that little bit more than what we have.

Many people join clubs, do voluntary work, or generally get involved in something just to keep themselves busy. For others it is crucial, for themselves, and for their families, that they generate an income. Being a full-time mom creates a problem, inasmuch your family needs you, on call, and you are consequently not able to enter the job market.

The only option is to do something at home. A small business. Use your knowledge, and your resources, and identify what it is that you want to do.

More than anything else, had you not married and had children, had you not felt compelled to fulfill your family duties and forgo your career, what would you have filled your day with? Only you know. And believe it or not, there are actually many people out there, men and women, who do not know what they really want to do. It took me almost 30 years to find out.

Primarily the articles are aimed at women, mainly housewives, who need to, or just want to, generate some extra money for themselves. Invariably this involves starting your own little home business. I am not going to discuss taxation, or local Government policy. The articles can, however, also be used by men, or even teenagers wondering what they’re going to do when they leave school and they have no money for further studies.

The articles will cover a small selection of small home business ideas that are very well suited to a beginner or housewife’s situation. They will generate an income. They will not take too much time (unless you allow them to). Start-up costs are minimal, if any, and all can be run from home.

The articles cover a variety of topics, and although they can be used as they are, try using them to develop your own product or service that is unique to you.
