Information about our web design service and procedure

Thank you for contacting us regards more information about website design.
We will be happy to design a website for you. The price is R200 per page. Each page should not scroll down more than four times the size of a computer screen. We can provide the design, with coding, and all the files on a cd for you, and you can host it with whomever you please to and your domain registration is also up to you.
If registering a .co.za domain through us it will cost R120 and is renewable yearly.
If wanting us to do the hosting for you our prices are:
For a site under 10 MB in size, which is quite possible for a 10 to 15 page website if it does not have too many images on it, our monthly hosting price is R40 per month or save R120 for the year by paying for a year’s hosting in advance at a price of R360.
For a site under 50 MB, which can basically consist of up to as many 40 or 50 pages, with a fair amount of images (or a smaller amount of pages but many large high quality images on the pages too), the hosting price is R55 per month, or save R180 for the year by paying for the year in advance at R480 for the year.
Both hosting packages do not have a cap on the amount of traffic you can receive. Having too little bandwidth can cause problems.
You can always start with the smaller package, and if wanting to increase the size of your website later, can upgrade to the larger size hosting package then only, although most of our clients choose the second option right from the beginning.
Logo design for the website, or top banner design for the website, if needed, is no longer included in the R200 per page design price (yeah, prior to March 2010 we used to include it in the price!), as well as any small amounts of copywriting of the content for you, or editing of the content provided by you, to better optimize for Search Engine findability (is also no longer included).
If wanting larger amounts of writing done, or articles written to add to your website to provide more content for search engines to find, please refer to our article writing services.
Included in the price, we also include correct meta tag description and keywords in the coding of the design to help you get found more easily (by search engines – and ultimately by people), as well as submit your site to a few search engines, including Google, once off (you can do it again monthly thereafter yourself, if you so wish to – find the link to the site we use to submit website URLs to on the SEO page of our website).
A slideshow of images on each page is also no longer included in our price of R200 per page designed (yeah, we even used to include that in the price!), and can include up to 20 images in each slideshow, although we recommend not more than 8 or the page takes too long to open on the Internet, and viewers lose interest, rather moving to another site.
We do not design in flash, but in html. Flash pages take considerably long to open and we don’t want to be known as designers who design pages that open slowly. Not everyone using the Internet has a fast connection. If people wait too long for a page to open, you risk losing them to a competitor who has pages that open quickly.
We have designed websites for people outside of East London too, and it is not necessary to meet in person, unless you feel it is required, as all communication can be done via email. If wanting to meet please let us know where and when would suit you, and we suggest preferably at the place of business you plan to do, or that your website will be about, so we can get a better idea of what to design for you. We usually design at least three different options for a homepage, and then wait to hear from you as to which one you most prefer, or if you would like us to mix and match, or even begin again.
This first stage takes the longest, but thereafter it goes quite quickly before completion, but even then, once the site is live on the Internet we do small alterations for free for 7 days.
We will need to know a lot more about what your website is to be about before we can help you properly, and we look forward to hearing from you. If wanting to take your time to think it all over, that’s fine, but the web design price of R200 per page will lapse by 1 March 2010 (update: gone by now), when we will be putting all our prices up a bit.
You may want to browse through some of the sites we have designed. They are all best viewed in Internet Explorer browser rather than FireFox as we design for Internet Explorer browsers because we find that more people use Internet explorer than FireFox, but we are working on making all our sites easily viewable in both browsers in the future (update: this has now been accomplished).

Many of the pages on websites we have designed, as well as our own pages on our own sites are easily found in Google search results for various keyword or phrase searches, and we look forward to possibly working with you, and helping you to achieve the same. We do not, however, promise first or second page search results as this can depend on many factors, including how competitive a business you are in, but our clients have had good results from our efforts. We do not offer full SEO services. This is expensive, and we feel that organic growth is best, doesn’t really take too long, and often gives results as good as if having used a full professional SEO service or PPC. If you’re quite happy to use and pay for PPC, then go ahead, it’s not going to do any harm, and the more you market your site, the better – just remember to check every so often how your free organic results are going (by searching for your site in the results, using different search words and phrases), and if the results are good, or getting better, you may be able to stop using PPC. We do always advise that you do plenty of marketing of your website link yourself too. There are many free ways you can market your site.

Odd thing, too, about Sharon Jessop’s Extreme Bootcamp website, is that she got a R400 discount from us on the web design price, when Tony and I gave away 5 R400 web design discount vouchers on Face Book some time back.
It was quite odd that not too many people reponded to the voucher giveaway – our web design service is already so inexpensive, and even when we had our 5 winners, they were quite slow in responding to our requesting information from them to get started on their designs. There weren’t even any tricks up our sleeves with regards to charging them for domain registration, or hosting, as we offered the prize in the form of a complete 2 page web design (or larger and just using the voucher for a 2page discount), on a cd, with all the coding and files, and to be mailed to them to use whenever they chose to.
We also offered that they were welcome to give their prize away to anyone in South Africa and mentioned that it would be a helpful gift for somebody they might know who was wanting a website designed.
We’re still not sure what four of the prize winners have done, as we haven’t done designs for them, but one who gave his prize away, gave it to Sharon Jessop of Extreme Bootcamp in Port Elizabeth. We never met Sharon, and all communication was done via email. She tells us she is still happy with her website, and she still keeps in touch, as sometimes needs alterations, or updates on her site done.

I do believe that my website (done by Terry & Tony) is one of the very best around.
And Bob, just for the record, if you want a really quick response to your requests, excellent service (with an “e-smile), awesome creativity and much much more, TnT Unleashed comes highly recommended.
Little did I know that one R400 voucher would give me SO much, and what a surprise package it turned out to be, way more than I ever expected.
As Terry will probably confirm, she does all the “creative” thinking behind the website and updates – which reminds me, I have to do some soon again, some good stuff happening!!
So if you want the best, go with TnT Unleashed – I am not a person that is easily pleased, and I expect a high standard of work from myself and naturally from others, and really found Terry and Tony to be highly professional, deliver on time EVERY time, and I’ve always had some creative ideas from them.

For the record, the creativity behind your site was mostly Tony’s, not mine! I always play a big part, though, lol, as tell him things like “there’s no balance – let’s move that image a bit over to the right, and slightly down,” or,
“that photo won’t work there, let’s try another one.”
I usually have more to do with that sort of creativity, and editing of photos, than the actual design coding, but Tony has taught me the coding process and techniques, and I’m improving every day!
We’re thrilled that you’re so happy with your Extreme Bootcamp website, and it is always a pleasure to communicate with you. We don’t feel you’re as hard to please as you say you are, but it’s certainly a good characteristic to have in your line of business. Putting your Extreme Bootcamp members through their paces can only benefit them, and keep them coming back for more! We hope that, soon, the fittest people in Port Elizabeth are all recognized as having got that fit from being a member of your excellent and unique fitness classes!
