We received our first ever Google adsense cheque (check?) in the post today!
UPDATE (JULY 2010) Here’s a photo of me holding my THIRD GOOGLE ADSENSE CHEQUE.
Thanks to Google, Google adsense, and all the website owner marketers who use pay per click (PPC) advertising methods, we received our very first adsense paycheck in the mail today!

We South Africans earned R500 from Google Adsense last month
We’re in East London in South Africa, and are very proud of our cheque for R1000. It took a long time to reach the minimal payout amount (for South Africans it’s R1000) – about a year – , but then again, we didn’t have all that many pages on our websites or blogs when we first added adsense coding to our pages. The last few months, when we started adding more pages to our sites (and more Google adsense ads), really helped our adsense account balance grow.
We reached the R1000 amount during the month of November, the cheque was “issued” end of December, and arrived today, 25 January 2010. It’s the last day it’s supposed to arrive, so we were getting a little worried. If our adsense check did not arrive today, we were supposed to request that a new one be sent – but we would have given it a few more days first.
Although it took so long to make our first R1000, just two months later we’re more than half way to the next R1000, and as we add more and more pages to our sites, and get more visitors, we expect to see this improve even more.
We wish we didn’t have to work so hard each month on other projects, because we would like to spend more time on adding more content to our sites, and marketing our sites on the Internet, as we find that earning money from Google adsense is quite easy – it just takes up quite a bit of time at first – but, perhaps, one day!
If people have a lot of time to work on their websites or blogs, and to be sociable on the Internet, and market their links in ways that are not spammy, Google adsense is an easy way to make a bit of extra money, and perhaps, down the line, a LOT of money each month, for less work (because of previous marketing of your sites resulting in getting more and more people interested in your content, bookmarking the pages, and coming back, telling others about your content or sharing your page links to social networking sites or putting links to your sites or pages on their own blogs) (and then the new visitors doing the same.)
We were pretty muddled with the basics of setting up Google adsense ads on our pages at first, but now we see that it’s all so easy. It may be hard work marketing a site or blog a lot, but if you are able to do it well, and often, earning from adsense is easy!
Because we realise many people are struggling to find work, we want to help others also earn from adsense, and will sometime (when we’re not too busy with our web design, photography, and writing business) get round to possibly including some really easy to follow steps for people who are looking to earn a bit of an extra income, to also start making money with adsense. We’ll probably post the articles on either (or some on one and some on the other) of these sites of ours:
As a start, for now, and for newcomers, and to inspire you more, this blog “I make money online – so can you”
has two great articles:
New record – first $100 day with Google adsense
Make money with the Google adsense programme
and links to another great article on another site about another South African making money from adsense.
Good luck with your adsense efforts – just remember to follow
adsense rules and never ask people to click on your ads and don’t click on your own ads – otherwise you risk getting yourself banned from using adsense on your pages
- concerned? Please also read this blog post entitled:
To get Banned from Google Adsense, ask people to click on your ads – at the end of that post find some important links to and titles of other adsense related articles that can help you be successful with your new work from home idea – or improving the idea and your efforts if you are already displaying other people’s Google PPC ads all over your pages.
