Reasons Why Leaving a Comment on Our Blog Might be Good for You

Note: Although this article was posted on the 9th of July, here’s an: Update 19 August 2009:
We’re currently no.1 on Google.co.za for “web design”!

If you live in South Africa, or anywhere really, if wanting more traffic from South African Internet surfers, and own a blog or website of your own that you would like to receive more traffic to, then read on to find out why leaving a comment on our blog – with a link to your own blog, or to your website, might be a good idea.

For those who believe in good Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) techniques to help get a link and description for their blogs or websites found more easily when people type in search words or search phrases in say, Google, well, we believe in those techniques too.

By using these SEO techniques ourselves, we’re not saying all the pages of our website 1pic4twenty are found easily, but some of them are on page one of Google for various search phrase results. This is when people in South Africa search for something on the World Wide Web – we don’t know how it looks from outside of South Africa or if there is any difference. We do even better, most times, when our page links come up on Google when people search the South African pages section.

We aim to soon cover many topics on our blog related to the words or phrases for which our website 1pic4twenty is already easily found, as well as still add a variety of other topics.

We’re also not saying we get tons of hits every day, because that would be a lie. What we are saying, though, is that we are there on Google for some search terms, and how many times have you marketed a link to your websites on other sites that are hardly ever found?

Our blog is still new (July 2009), and not yet easily found, but our website 1pic4twenty is, and it links to this blog, and also has the same title of this post near the top left corner of each page, to link directly to this page. This blog is part of our website, hosted on the same server.

Update: This blog is now also being found as easily as our website – see For which phrases searched for on Google is this blog easily found?

On 9 July 2009, the following are our Google.co.za results for various search words and search phrases using the “the web” search option, and not the “pages from South Africa” option:
