The CommentLuv blog site searcher is ready!
It’s awesome news that the CommentLuv blog site searcher is ready, and I tried it out last nite ComLuv
What it means is you can type in a search word or phrase and a list of blogs come up in the results just like when you search for something on Google – the results look like the usual ten per page results you get on Google – but with a difference!
The blogs that come up are CommentLuv enabled (if you don’t yet know what that means it means when you comment on a CommentLuv blog post, and tick the CommentLuv box, you get the title of your last blog post (and it can link to it) displayed directly beneath your comment! You can get some excellent more detailed information about how it works on this blog.
My blog is ComLuv enabled – give it a try: leave a comment and tick the CommentLuv box.
An added plus about the CommentLuv site searcher is that only those sites that have been active in the last 7 days come up in the results – meaning you are not directed to blogs that might be outdated or no longer really active – there might still be interesting content or information on a blog like that, but if the owner hardly ever visits it, he or she might not see or appreciate the comments you leave, or if you’re posting comments purely to get a backlink to your own site, an outdated blog might not be getting much traffic anymore, so what’s the point?
Using the CommentLuv site searcher not only helps you easily find active blogs that interest you, that are CommentLuv enabled, but is also an excellent SEO tool. Why? You can find blog posts that are similar to your latest blog post, or have some similar SEO keywords, and when you leave a comment on that post, you’re getting a good backlink to your own blog – as well as having a title and link to your latest blog displayed! Great SEO for you.
Having your own ComLuv enabled blogs come up in the results is also great for you and your recently active blogs, as people can come comment on your blog, knowing it’s recently been active and is not a waste of time.

Yes, my blog does have a mix of topics – it’s a pain trying to decide on which category to enter it in when submitting my blog to blog directories, but I’m still happy with my various topics I offer people for interest, or to comment on when looking for backlinks to their own sites. Maybe you’ll pop in again and leave your Harry Potter Costume link on a more appropriate page like the movie review of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Good luck with your marketing.

I’ve seen CommentLuv popping up here and there but I had no idea what the buzz is about. So far I’ve seen the comment saying there is an error with my feed. Not sure what that means.

Not sure what “error with your feed” means – I’m still a little lost when it comes to rss feeds, if that’s what you mean. Also, there’s commentluv for both wordpress and blogspot, and I think they blend together when making comments and being able to tick the commentluv box, and getting the title of your last blog post displayed – so not sure if I can help you on that one – in my post above I do link to a blog post that has lots of info about commentluv and you might find the answer there.
Regards the buzz, I think it’s great to use commentluv when for example one has just made a post, like this:
Make your post to your blog,
use the commentluv site searcher to search for blog posts that have similar content to the post you just made,
then leave a comment there, of course ticking the commentluv box to leave the title of your latest post behind.
The sites displayed in the searcher are only there if content has been added in the last 7 days, making them active and not too old (the site – not necessarily the post you’re commenting on), and when people read what that blogger has posted, and possibly want to know more, it’s nice for them to just be able to follow links right from there to more content that is similar (rather than say a recent post displayed at the end of your comment being unrelated to the blog post you’re commenting on.)
It should mean at least a slight increase in traffic to your blog. Hope that helps you understand it a bit better. Good luck with your blog and the marketing of it!

Plugins that encourage more user interaction like Commentluv are a win win if you ask me. More bloggers should use it.
